The Futernick Report: Teacher retention in California's K-12 public schools

  In 2007, the Center for Teacher Quality completed a comprehensive study of teacher retention in California's public schools, authored by Dr. Ken Futernick. The report, titled A Possible Dream: Retaining California Teachers So All Students Learn, is available online. The report confirms what teachers have known and points the way towards solutions.

LAUSD self-evaluation report confirms long-time charges of inefficiencies and lack of accountability — (No news to UTLA!)

  "The most apparent and inhibiting deficit standing in the way of instructional coherence in LAUSD today is a lack of accountability." Read the full text of the Evergreen Report.

The Education Resource Strategies (ERS) report, commissioned by LAUSD and UTLA, found that funds are not allocated in the most effective way.
