CA Universal Healthcare Act (SB 840) headed for vote

August 12, 2008 - SB 840 is now on the Assembly Floor and will be voted on in the coming days. Now is the time to contact your Assembly Representatives and ask them to support SB 840 on the Assembly Floor.

Upon passage in the Assembly, SB 840 will return to the Senate for a vote of 'concurrence'. Following passage in the Senate, SB 840 will go to the Governor's desk. He will have 30 days to act upon the bill, either to pass the bill into law with his signature or to veto the bill.
