UTLA Leadership Conference

UTLA Committees

UTLA has 33 Standing Committees that help formulate UTLA policy and contract proposals, hold educational conferences and field trips, and sponsor scholarship awards. Committees reflect a wide range of interests and specialties, from physical education to National Board certification to school safety. Membership in committees is open to all UTLA members. The best way to get involved is to attend one of the committees' regular meetings.

Most committees meet at 4:30 p.m. at UTLA Headquarters on regularly scheduled days. The Elementary, Secondary, and African-American Education committees meet on the same day as PACE, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Early Childhood Education committee meets at 7:00 pm on the same day as UTLA area meetings.
