The salary raise and your UTLA dues

The 6% salary raise our members recently received also applies to UTLA dues. The new monthly dues amount for a full-time member is $57.42, which is still one of the lowest in the state. Retroactive dues (around $30 total) will also need to be collected from members. Here’s the tentative plan for collecting those retro dues:

* Retro dues under the new payroll system (January-March 2007) will be deducted form the May 4 paycheck.

* Retro dues under the old system (July-December 2006) will be deducted from the separate retro check for that time period, which will be paid in mid-May.

The dues for April will be reflected as the new rates on the May 4 paycheck.
