LAUSD Magnet Program
The Magnet Programs are voluntary integration opportunities available to students in grades K-12 living within the LAUSD boundaries. Some Magnet programs occupy entire school sites (Full School Magnets), while others are Magnet centers located on regular school campuses with access to activities and experiences shared with the host school.
UTLA Concerns with Magnet Conversion Process
UTLA has raised some concerns about administrators submitting plans for magnet conversions or centers without following or adhering to protocols listed in Reference Guide 6014.2 outlined by LAUSD.
